Material submitted to Advanced Electromagnetics should be original, coherent, understandable, and interesting. Advanced Electromagnetics will not consider manuscripts that have already been published or are being considered by other journals. Only manuscripts written in English will be accepted; language must be consistent throughout. Additionally, spelling, punctuation and sentence structure of manuscripts should be reviewed prior to submission.

The articles will be available through the Internet, free of charge, for viewing and printing. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted material from other sources. It is assumed that by submitting an article the authors consent with free distribution of their work and transfer all rights under existing copyright laws to the journal Advanced Electromagnetics. A significant advantage of the electronic publishing format is the speed in preparing and releasing the work, which protects its originality. Upon final acceptance, articles will be available for immediate downloading.

Style and Format

Advanced Electromagnetics requires all manuscripts to be submitted through the on-line submission system. Manuscripts should be prepared using either the MS-Word® or LaTeX format provided in this template but only PDF documents should be submitted.

How to cite your articles

There are many different ways of citing resources from your research (e.g. IEEE style, APA, MLA, etc). The citation style depends on the editorial policy of the journal in which you wish to publish. The most basic entry for a journal consists of the author name(s), year published, article title, journal name, volume number, and page numbers. To cite an article published in Advanced Electromagnetics, you should cite: the Author(s), Article Title, Advanced Electromagnetics, volume, issue, page(s), (year). You may also include the digital object identifier (DOI). For example:

What is a DOI?

Advanced Electromagnetics uses the digital object identifier (DOI) as the primary means to identify papers. The DOI is a string of numbers which together uniquely identify a published article. The doi is permanently assigned to each article, and provides a persistent link to current information about that article, including where the article, or information about it, can be found on the Internet. It enables readers to find the article on the Internet irrespective of any subsequent changes in the web site structure, in the management responsibility of the journal in which it was first published, or the location of the web site on which the journal is hosted.

To resolve any DOI, go to the DOI System proxy server http://dx.doi.org and enter the paper's DOI. You can also convert a doi to a web address by adding a prefix to the doi. For papers published on Advanced Electromagnetics use the url prefix http://dx.doi.org/

For example, assuming your paper has doi as follows: doi:10.7716/aem.v1i2.20, your web address will then be:http://dx.doi.org/10.7716/aem.v1i2.20 You can use the url string within any documents you write, or you can simply copy and paste it into your browser. The url will lead to the abstract page of your paper on Advanced Electromagnetics, from which the full text can be accessed as PDF.
